Turbo, Lifting, and Overtraining question

Today I went to the psychiatrist to talk about my anxiety issues. I told her that cardio had cured me before, but that I had been focusing more on lifting with very light cardio lately. She recommended I do a 10-minute cardio workout before lifting. I just finished my TurboFire HIIT 15 and am moving to the weights in just a moment. I do have one question though -- for those of you who have suffered from overtraining, how do I avoid that?See More

Time to amp up my cardio. I do light cardio and heavy lifting, as you guys know, but my anxiety issues have popped back up. The thing that cured me before was intense cardio. I only have 1 week left of Piyo and 3 weeks left of Beast!!!!  It has flown by!  I've loved both programs.  Piyo has been hard in the sense that one has to be really focused on what is going on. My mindset hasn't always been there, but when it is, I'm amazed w/ how far my flexibility has come.  I am almost to the point where I can even say that I love downward dog!  I've struggled w/ that pose for years but it's come a long way.  I also am enjoying bowler's and runner's lunges a bit more though…See More

Well School starts back in 3 weeks, so I need to make the most of the free time I have right now. I've been keeping up my tracking on my fitness pal, lifting my heavy weights, and going to my dance classes. It's been a fantastic summer with lots of long walks, camping, hiking, going to the water park. Clean eating is more of a challenge when I'm not in school. "I switched to lifting heavy weights and just doing light cardio (dance class and walking) and that was my magic formula. Now I can't get into the heavy duty cardio any more. I even struggle to get through Chalene's workouts."

Ok so July has been HARD.  Seriously a ton of emotional stuff going on. Im back at the work after term break so back to regular gym sessions.
